The bleeding has returned.
Posted 1 day ago
Brian has been bleeding off and on now for the last couple of days. Not a major amount but any amount is obviously cause for concern. His face and shirt were stained this morning and he is still spitting out small amounts as I type this.
Thanks for your continued thoughts and prayers.

...that Brian bled more today while I was at work. She said it was more than he bled overnight so it looks like I may be sleeping on the air mattress again tonight.
He is in good spirits and even helped me make burgers on the grill. He made them the way he saw them prepared on the food channel by making two thin patties and putting a piece of cheese in the middle. They should be done soon.
He also made a couple of small patties for Bonnie and Brody...our dogs.
I just checked the burgers and Brian and Carol were on the deck. Brian was holding a napkin in his lap...he is bleeding again now.
We'll keep a close eye on him tonight.
Hope all of you fathers had a great day today.

Still bleeding.

Brian woke up around 1am and we were up until at least 3am cleaning him up and changing his shirt. The blood has drained into his trachea because it was on his tube when he suctioned.
We had a good talk about things and then had a word of prayer together.
5am. The same scenario described above. It is now 6am and he is sleeping again. His oxygen levels and heart rate are in the good range. A higher than normal heart rate is an indicator of low blood levels.
I'll watch him closely this morning. We may be making a run to the doctor or hospital for blood level tests if this continues.
Thanks,
Doug and Carol

Brian only had a small stain on his shirt this morning and hasn't bled any since he's been awake.
He just finished eating and said he feels fine and doesn't appear to have any of the symptoms of low blood levels.
Of course, I'll keep a close watch on him today.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers!

Sorry Doug and Carol for not getting this up faster. Praying for you all.
