This was a special hunt. Some of you know I have not seen my brother in about 7 years. I took him detecting today and we had fun. We went to an old stand by that I have got at least 23 silvers over the years and over 100 wheats and several buffs. We didn't have a lot of time, but I gave him the basics to get him started and off we went.
He ended the hunt with 8 clad coins = 5Q, 1D, 2P and his first ring. It was an older aluminum Hong Kong kids ring but his first ring none the less!
My old faithfull spot stood up to it's name and I ended the day with 2 wheats, a 1962D silver dime , 13 clad = 2Q, 1D, 1N, and 9P, also a button and a doo dad. This is not a place for tons of finds, but there is always that hope for some silver and some older coins. It was great to share my favorite hobby with my brother, and I hope to get him hooked soon!
