5.3 or 4x6 coil?

steve m

New member
Was wondering if any of you detecting guru's had a preference between the 5.3 or the 4x6 coil for the XL Pro and XLT?
Going to get a new coil for my XLT and trying to decide which to get.
Which would be better for depth and pinpointing?
Any info would be great.
Thanks!

Any of the 6

i echo monte's sentiments exactly!..the 5.3 concentric is an outstanding choice for the pro...excellent pinpointing characteristics, and outrageous depth for a small
coil.i use mine for hunting sidewalk easements, and heavily trashed parks with terrific results!..in fact,i seldom take it off, unless i am doing some open field hunting, then i will grab the 950 coil to cover more ground!..in my opinion, the xl-pro becomes a complete detector with the little guy on board!..keep using it,you will not be disappointed!

I'm with you. I seldom take my 5.3 off either unless I'm in a hurry and then its the 9.50.
5.3 is a great coil. I have gotten some great depth with it.
