Got a 5.7" coil for my Vista Gold from Richard @ Backwoods Detectors (thanks Richard). Stopped at a playground on my way home from work today and tried out the little coil in the woodchips, it's a wonderful coil. Surprisingly deep for its size, and hits hard on coins and jewelry. Haven't tried it in the dirt yet but imagine it will work great. Love the Vista Gold's high tone for non ferrous targets and low tone for ferrous targets.

When I purchased the Vista Gold from Richard last year I purchased the 5.7 and the super 6 coil along with the stock coil. They are all great coils and have there place in the set of coils. I have found nothing wrong with any of the coils or coil sizes.

Great coil for the edge of sidewalks or paved driveways that have rebar.
