I just want to know if anyone uses the 5 X 10 coiltek Joey coil and how do you like it? How is the performance on the coil compared to the stock 10.5" coil? Is it accurate in its identifying of targets? Thanks for the help!

I use a Joey Coil when in very trashy areas. It can get in between trash and find those hidden keepers that you are looking for. The Joey is my personal favorite and is the second coil that I use. It may lose an inch or so in depth but it sure can get between the trash! As for target identification, it is just like all the rest of the coils out there, It will fluxuate a bit when the target is deeper but I find the ID pretty close to what is dug. Hope this helps and answers your questions.

You are right, the Joey Coil is not waterproof but you could try and caulk around the coil cord to try and seal it.

But the platypus is right? Can only afford one, may be two any how, already have a small concentric coil, so I will prob go for a WOT and a Plat.

Cheers for claryfying that

Neil
