Does the T2 have to be sent back to Texas Ins. for fine tuning when switching coils?

No...........that is a urban legend.............old detectors from many years ago may have needed coil tuning. The T2 5" DD is built specifically for the T2 and will not function properly on other First Texas detectors.

Ive recently fitted a 12x10 sef coil to my t2 se , simple switch on and go,no tuning required, ............happy hunting BAZ
