5" DD Coil

Since the 5" coil is supposed to be a DD I've noticed when I move the coil forward and back and put the edge of the coil over a target I still get a signal. Other DD coils I had don't sound off unless you go side to side. Maybe because it's so small it picks up the signal anyway. Has anyone else noticed this?

Well since I have no self control and had to get the small DD because everyone says its the bomb. I will let you know when kellyco gets mine to me.
 
I've only had mine or a short time and didn't notice that but I will pay closer attention next time out.

I think I am some of my good spots are super heavy in iron and I just know I am missing targets with the stock coil. I got it, now I just need a decent day to get out with it. LOL
