5 hour hunt...silver?

southernstyle

New member
was really hoping the day would have been a little better than it turned out. Just the way it goes sometimes. Today was 5 hours of searching. I got a pocket full of change, and the silver ring. The little 1 cent piece is small....like I swore it was falling through the holes of my scoop. It is like 1/2 the size of a American dime. It isn't worth anything but thought it was kind of cool. Anyway, the beers tasted better:drinking:sitting there watching the sunset and checking out the ring. It was better than sitting there looking at empty hands. I feel like a kid waiting on Christmas. I have a older Excal waiting on me when I get home for Christmas.....1 month.....it feels like forever. I figure I can search the ash tray for the first couple of hours during morning, then get in the warm, beautiful, clear water during the day. I think if I put 5 hours in the water, like I do on shore, I will be a happy hunter. Hope everyone had a great Turkey Day. I would have loved to been at home having Grandmas Green Bean casserole. It would have been a nice change to Ox Tail, Turtle meat and Plantain. Not complaining, I have learned to love the food here. Although I'm loving the MD finds more.

Enjoy,
Chris

Possibly the Netherland Antilles based upon the coin you show in your finds, that and the menu choices you describe. No callallou, or christophan soup to go with the turtle meat?
I spent some time working on the island of Mustique in the Leeward islands, before I made the move to Bermuda. Don't worry about the Excal - soon come, man.

Nice silver Ring,

Nice ring.
Like the sunset.
That is very calm water. Hope you can hunt with it that calm. And hope you have a good solid water scoop to go with the excal.
Looking forward to seeing what you find in the new year with a water detector.
Cheers,
