.50 cal pearl harbor attack slug

Found this spent .5o cal slug on hickam Air Force Base Hawaii which is right next to Pearl harbor. I believe this would be from one of our boys firing up at one of the Jap AC's and missing as this shell obviously is un-scaved. I am pretty sure that the Jap AC's didn't have .50 cal guns, probably bigger due to the bullet holes left in the buildings here. I have a feeling this place is a relic gold mine and look forward to finding more relics while stationed here. Hope I don't find any UXO's and blow myself up.

Buck,
Maybe you should hunt in full body armor.
nice find!
My dad landed at Hickham on the way to New Guinea during WWII. He was the nose gunner in a B-24. 5th Airforce 320th Squadron "the Moby Dicks".
