Unusual weather for these parts in November. Decided that hitting my goal of 2000 coins over last year would be a piece of pie. Pumpkin, I suppose.

Not much to say about the loot. That one goldish ring had me hoping for about half a second. The other junk ring is iron but was in the ground next to the dollar coin, otherwise I would not have found it. I went for about an hour and fifteen minutes at my clad site then decided to try for some silver. It was the first hunt I tried at this old park with my big coil and what I discovered was that there was still a boatload of clad there. I found 45 coins in just under an hour. The only signal that came close to being an old coin was that rusty old square nail.

The quarter next to the ring is potentially my last coin of the year. I'm sure it isn't but I just in case I'll be setting aside the last coin from any remaining 2009 hunts.

I'm 2018 coins ahead of last year. That quarter was my 13,610th coin in 2009. If I had been a little more disciplined I might have hit 15,000.

if I had posted this in some language other than English more folks would have looked?

I am still very fond of any hunt where I can dig 100 or so clad coins even if I don't find anything really "good."

So when can we expect an article from you in a treasure mag? You're bright and articulate. What are you waiting for?

Good amount of clad picked up. Silver is becoming tougher to find. Keep at it though. I just scored a nice sterling .925 ring on 11-30-09 with one of my buddies here in Spokane, WA. Went behind a set of baseball diamond bleachers and dug every signal.

I'll probably keep at it. I hope I never get addicted, though.
