6 1/2 years of large cents...

Jim C (Mich)

...minus two that are in a display case at a one room school house. Not as many as some of you guys out east get but I love finding them.

Nice JIm ... and I can remember the days when you almost tossed the Explorer out (that was a long time ago ;) ).

You have certainly done well since then. Least anyone thinks such results are easy ... it takes a lot of research, time & effort (and a little luck) to be this successful.

Way to go!

Nice collection! It looks like your soil is fairly nice to a large cents.

Thanks Gord. That was back in 2001 I believe. Just another newbie back then would didn't know what he was doing. :D It does take a lot of time and patience. Also ya have to go where they might of been dropped. Just like real estate. Location, location, location.

Well the oldest non dated one is a bust one. Its in real rough shape and is the one in the photo with all the white blobs on it. My oldest dated one is a 1820. Thanks, Jim

You will dig it. They usually ring up like a quarter. Nice and loud. I had one hit the crosshairs like a modern penny once. Probably all the junk on it. Thanks, Jim
