I took my friends Jim and his wife LaNeta to this old resort that has been closed for at least 20 years or more. Absolutely had never been hunted. Grass was tall, it got hot and muggy and the bugs were bad...but we made it work. Jim scored the first silver on his first signal of the day..'46 rosie...and numerous wheats later on. LaNeta found two mercs...both 1939-P's..what are the odds? She was pumped as these were her first silver dimes dug ever. I found the '68 Kennedy half off the corner of the main house....could only have been better if it had been a '64....but I'll take it. My first silver-clad half ....and five wheaties...and of course the clad and junk. Time to soak in the tub...and make plans for the rest of the weekend's hunts.
