I checked a couple of retailers from coilteks website and I can't find one of those coils, any suggestions?

You will have to e-mail or call several dealers. The price I got and the dealer I used may not be the best tomorrow. I wouldn't trust or think anyone on here knows the best price tomorrow without checking myself. Really not that hard to do.
 
It would not be my choice. Higher frequency does a better job of exciting gold, nickel, lead, pewter, and other low conductors.

Why don't they make and 8" DD coil? Why do we like switching back and forth from 10" to 6" so much? I guess we are just supposed to use the stock coil.
