6 x 8 S.E.F. coil

I just got my new 6x8 on Monday but have only had it out in my backyard to test it out. I'm on an old farm that as about 30 tons of junk buried on it and usually use my 5.3 to sift through everything. I run my M6 with little disc. and the sensitivity at the suggested mark & above. With the 6x8 I was running my sens. below the mark because it just seemed more sensitive. The soil was moist but not wet and I would call it normal soil (northern IN) not highly mineralized. I should have switched back to my 5.3 to get a good comparison in the same conditions but I wanted to give the 6x8 a workout. It seemed to work through the trash very well, I was happy anyway, and it hit targets hard. This was my first time with a DD coil and I really like it so far, I want to get to a park and see how it does on coins but it seems to ID the same as my 5.3, it will probably be my coil of choice except for the very trashy areas then I'll use the 5.3. Curt in W.Mass also recieved his 6x8 on Monday so maybe he'll chime in with his opinion.
