6 years+10 months of Explorer XS coin/token finds(Updated Oct 07)

The finds are in order starting with December 2000,ending with three days ago with the Woods Hibernia. In the first hour of hunting with the XS I got a 1806 Half Cent, no hard learning curve at all...........(ADDED MY FINDS SINCE THE HIBERNIA IN FEB 07 TO THIS POST)
Also, half of these finds found using the ML 8 inch coil
Also, Only one coin found while using FAST ON
Also, vast majority of hunting is with Auto Sens @ 28-32, can run in Manual in most areas here at 32 but a bit erratic, sandy soil for the most part in my area.
Average coin and artifact finds are 4-8 inches.
Gain usually 9
Threshold, just below audible
Different programs? NONE
IM -14-16 almost always
Advanced Smart Screen, love the crosshairs
Same detector all these years, back to factory only for the original cracked case problem. The electronic guts have been great all this time.

Great finds Don. I seriously doubt I will ever find 1/10 of what you have...not for lack of trying, maybe lack of sites...we had a large influx of miners in the mid 1800's but before then it was pretty wild here. I did score a 1853 $10 gold eagle a while back but traded it for a MXT...Keep it up Don...VERY IMPRESSIVE!!!

What type of sites are the majority from? old parks,old cellar holes long gone,fields,existing old homes yards, I am just curious cause I don't find much, if I am lucky a coin or 2 in about 1 out of every 20 cellar holes I go to. Is there a type of site you like most?

First twenty years Olive Oil, which I am now very sorry I did on the porous coins, since years later, that stains the holders they are in with the slow leaching out of the absorbed oil. For the past 6 years of so, nothing but Peroxide IF the coin is determined to need it.
Also, clean buttons and small relics with the peroxide, cept for pewter items.

Actually all of my finds are within a roughly 30-35 mile radius of home and most under 20 miles with yes, quite a few within walking distance of my home.

Greater numbers could have been found and are found in a county or two northwest of me, but most of those are field found coppers that fertilizer has taken its toll on, I enjoy staying local and finding a few a month, never any big number of finds in one hunt...........
