6x8 S.E.F Coil ?

What is the average expected depth using this little beauty ?? I just got it today.

I'm truly not impressed, but I've used it twice. My 10 x 12 went right back on the shaft. Maybe I didn't give it much of a chance. AMC

[size=large]i have to agree with Stubbs. i have found it to be impressive since day one. have had it on my ml for about 4 months. can't say the same for my mxt version. haven't had it long so maybe more use is needed to decide.

I've only had a chance to use the one I won in the contest a couple of times . I haven't went over any silver with it yet but I pulled up some 8'' deep small iron that ID'ed and sounded like iffy coins on the SE .I was also able to pull up a small brass fitting and some copper washers in a trash filled place I had previously hunted with the Pro coil in the 5" to 6 "range .
You can tap weeds without it falsing a lot too . I think you'll be happy with it Elton .

Elton --

It's a nice coil. I like it. 6" on a dime/penny (though ID degrades at that depth for me with this coil) and around 7" on a quarter (again, ID degraded) is where I have hit coins. If it's 6" or under, you will nail it with this coil -- good ID, and good strong sound. "Iffy" IDs start for me, in my soil, at around 6" with this coil.

Hello Elton. I have dug dimes in the 7" range and some close to 8" in junk. Last summer I saw Bryce dig many silver coins as deep as 9" with it at some of my sites.

[size=large]the bigger the coil the more nulling and targets missed. same for th 8x6. it will suffer nulling also but it does a great job for it's size.
i've only found one silver with mine and it was around 6" w/o any problems perfect id and depth. soil was still moist.i have no doubt it would find even deeper targets if i could just get it over them.
