Hi all:
I got out for a couple hours in a park I like to frequent,it is a large park and lots of history goes with it but you have to do some research and find the old hang outs to get the older coins. I came accross a spot that does not get used much anymore and thought I would check it out. The first outing I came up with an 06 indian head and a 1892 dime, wheats etc but the trash was terrible.LOW and SlOW with the stock loop.
I went back yesterday with the 6x8 SEF to give it try. After about an hour and mostly clad in the trash from the late 60's I went to the truck and switched back to the stock 11" and covered the same ground, at 7" was the first sweet sound of silver, dug a 1904 barber dime, two clads later hit another at 8" and popped a 1892 barber quarter. Now no bias, not to be pointed but I covered the same area very hard with the SEF, criss crossed it and pattered the area.It is a small picinic site in the park and I believe the stock coil is winning out consistantly so far. I am going to try out the Sun Ray shortly and I will report on that.
Also show are July's silvers had a good month along with some gold and silver jewelery, and a pic of the clads and new pennies, 9.25 pounds worth this summer, will cash that in at the end of August, gas rebate money. Take care all and good hunting to all. Exanimo!!!!!
