7.5 Khz WOT Coil

Will the large 15 inch coil do well at old abandoned households and abandoned lands as a relic hunting coil in the 7.5 Khz? I know that is a broad question, but i want a relic hunting coil for my 705 and at this time i don't really see one that i like. Thanks.

Mike the Swede (EOS on the forum) like his! In his part of the world he finds a bit of everything with it.
Check out his threads for examples.

Yes the Coiltek WOT 15" at 7.5kHz is a majestic coil.I give it a lot of credit for its design and handling.Very stable coil that works fine on abandoned lands.Since it cover so much ground I shouldnt recommend it on households where its usually are
very ironinfested.Go for a smaller coil there,like the 5x10"DD or 6"DD.

On my latest search with WOT on a abandoned park,or should I say cow pen :) I had some good finds on places we have been over many times. But this day was a WOT day. My friend with his AT Pro didnt have the same luck this time...haha..

I had my Xterra 705 with 15" on all metal as usual, and a sensitivity at 28,since some targets will be deep. Ground balance on this search ground is generally around 30-40 so its not that mineralised.Full volume and a set of XP Backphones with volume controll, cheap but very good headphones.
I started up with 1750 1 ore in bad condition and older coins kept coming up.

When we arrived to an old bridge foundation I had a monstreus signal that jumped in at 46 sometimes 48.I walked around the signal and it had the same constant high pitch signal, and I was almost certain what it could be...
Only one problem,it was right under a large cow dung....haha..but,I dug a big round clod and there just 4 inch down this gigant 1 ore 1628 coin was looking at me after almost 400 years in the ground...WOW!!
This was my fourth 1 ore 1628. A coin that measure almost 2 inch. Crazy coin!! Imag

Thanks EOS, i appreciate your response.

man I sure would love a 3khz WOT... but with tax here, it would be over $400! too rich for my blood :(

also, I agree with the others that said it may be too large for abandoned homesteads... every old homestead I've been to has been incredibly trashy. Many of the old ones had their roofs reshingled more than once likely, and many had aluminum siding put on at some time... so I've often walked into minefields of roofing tacks and bits of cut aluminum... frustrating!
