My first plan for the day was to go to the 40's picnic area where I found all the silver last week.
Unfortunately, the nice old lady wasn't home so I moved on to plan B.
Plan B was to go to the place I received permission to detect, yesterday. This spot borders another that I've hunted for several years.
It's not loaded with silver, but I have found a few seated and other 1800's coins there. Both areas have seen a good deal of activity though the years... Guess that's why I asked to detect there
The first silver came after an hour or so.
42 merc. too bad there wasn't a 1 through the 2

After that, it would be 41/2 hours before the next silver. During that time I found a few wheats, some clad, a buffalo nickel and lots of junk.
Here's the trash and a few relics from today.

Takes a lot of trash to find the good stuff as you all know
Anyway, here's the second silver of the day. A holed 1887 Canadian dime.

And now, my third silver of the day.I had never found one of these. I only found this because I was digging most everything knowing there's some old stuff in the area.
1853 three cent silver

I rubbed it not realizing what it was until I noticed the star
I can't believe how small and thin they are.
Here's the silver

PS: between the trash, relics and coins, I counted 164 targets dug.
Have a good one
