70 or 705

i want a 70 or 705! would a 70 be a better buy, with extra coil. both detectors like new ! but the 70 has more extras! what do you guys think? thanks for the help ; have an explorer that i used also !
 
I have used both, and have the 70. Having used the X-Terras since they came out, I think the 70 is the better of the two for MY Hunting style, Relic Hunting. I use the 10.5DD coils. Other than the tracking offset, backlight and more patterns which I never used on the 705 since I hunt all metal 2 tones, to me, there is little difference. Yes if you can get a mint 70 for under $350, I would jump on it!!!

i had a 70 for a couple of years and absolutely loved it. Then i got a 705. As a comparison in coin and relic mode on the 705. i found 3 coins the first day with the 705 in my already gone over front yard, the 70 missed. Ive also found more gold and more consistently with the 705. The 6 inch 18.75 is my favorite coil on both.

I have used them both and have the 705 now I love them both a good price on a 70 is nothing to walk away from Good luck on your purchase
