705 Coming

Glad you came to your sinces. Just kidding tesoros are good too. Glad you got a new one.

Good move Beale! In the right hands one of the best if not the best on the market. You should fit right into the machine faily quickly having been with us for so long on this forum, with the FAQFAQ's, and previously having a X-70. Now get those most popular coils for it that we talk about on end, the 6" HF DD, 9" LF CC, and round 10.5" MF DD. Maybe the 6" MF CC as a 4th choice. You should know the specialty uses and ground conditions for each one of those coils by now.

That's OK Beale. I did the same thing 3 times, trading a Xterra for another machine that was gonna be "The One". I returned last November to a Xterra 705.

I got an awesome deal on the "Gold Package". All plus rain cover, $635.00 and free shipping and insurance to me! Used a sponsor on here, Gerrys!! Very impredded, Beale.

Once a :minelab:man always a :minelab: man. Welcome back buddy. HH TomB

well Beale, I must say that I am very happy with your old 70. The more I use ot the better it gets! Did you trade the Golden?

Hey Brad I am glad you like the 70. Yes I did trade the Golden. But not on the new 705. I bought the 705. It is a long story, Beale.

I just ordered tyhe 9 inch 3khz coil from indian nations . Gave me a real good deal.

Hi!

I am seriously considering buying a Minelab X-Terra 705, from the looks of this site I don't think I will be unhappy. I live in Myrtle Beach SC, my plan is to beach hunt, not in the water, maybe on shore line but mostly on the sand. Will I be happy with this choice?

Thanks
Carol K

Hey Carol welcome to the site. I would say you would be just fine. The 705 will handle the dry sand very well.

One suggestion. You may want to start a new topic with this question. You will get more views that way, Beale.

Beale, I remember you selling off your last X-terra and going strictly Tesoro, right? What prompted you to come back to an X-terra? I sold off my 705 some time back, but I still have my X-terra 70 because of how well it performs and how I use its TID in conjunction with my Tesoro's depth. The 705 I had was a bit of disappointment because it actually seemed to get less depth than my 70, but I'm finding individual units can be hotter than each other.

What prompted me? Several factors: While the Tesoro is a great Beep dig unit the DeLeon could not touch the 70. I still have a Silver Umax for the beep dig. I tried a couple of other TID makes and was not happy with them. So I came back to what I know how to use. I am also comfortable with them.

I was concerned about them moving the plant to Malissa, but figured I got a 3 year warranty. So what the heck. I also got a killer deal, Beale.
