Thought Ma would get a kick outta this. We celebrated my birthday last night with my family by going out to eat. The restaurant we choose is 45 minutes from our house one way. I had to work until 4 yesterday and had no idea what my two sweeties were up to, but 7 cents outdid himself. He went to the florist and picked up roses and drove them to the restaurant so they could be brought out with our meal. He and Loren spent over two hours making this happen!!! The restaurant is in a remote (I am do mean remote) area, so driving the flowers down there was his only option. How sweet is that? The simplest things mean so much. No matter how old I am, I will always feel young with my two loves around me!!! I am very blessed. Thought I would brag on my sweeties a little bit.

Well, Liz, God sure blessed you for your b'day with your two sweeties going out of their ways to make it special! Humnmmmm...now I wonder what Travis is up to and what he wants??? Just kidding, it is such a blessing to have a hubby and daughter who love you so much! Not many will do that even after years and years of marriage, providing being together lasts that long! Congrats on the flowers and eating out! True love holds a family together and makes the world go around in goodness instead of sinfulness! May God keep on blessing! Amen! Ma Betty

Happy Birthday Liz! May God continue to bless you and yours. Like MaBetty, I am alone and we both know all too well how wonderful it is to have that 'Special Someone', in our lives but aren't anymore.

Ma, you are gonna make me blush. I can assure you he has been thanked properly! :inlove: I've always felt like people have a choice to be happy in their marriage or not. For us, it's really simple.....We are probably happier now than when we married eleven years ago. I can only thank GOD for that!!!

Martin-I pray that GOD has someone special out there for you...it can happen. When Travis lost his mom, his dad was already of retirement age and they had been married for over 30 years. His dad was able to find someone again and he says he felt like GOD has given him another chance. I agree with Ron....we are all family here!

Lots of times marriages fail because one or the other or both are unhappy from what happened in their lives growing up and are expecting too much from the spouse to fulfill that emptiness and to give them what they need! But until we love ourselves, we cannot expect someone else to love us the way we would like to be loved or love them the way they should be loved, for it takes three to make a godly marriage and a loving home and family! God, husband and wife...these three when in agreement make a three-strand-cord that cannot be broken by satan nor man....but it is rare.....for like me and I guess, my ex, we learned too late and the marriage fell apart! Even in second or ? marriages, no baggage of any kind should be brought into the marriage and to any children and their families, because they only cause lots of problems and troubles! By turning the problems over to God and letting Him lead and direct both the lonely man and lonely woman to find the right one to be with until death does occur will happen and be more blessed by believing in Jesus by faith and leaning on and trusting in Him, especially, when any problems do come up and they will for satan will do whatever he can to cause families to be broken up, for this is how we are tested and tried to see how much faith we do have in our Blessed Lord and Savior for serving Him, faithfully, and loving each other in His love!

May God Bless you Martin and, anyone else seeking a spouse for love and comfort, with the one that He has for each of you! I don't care to have anyone, as I have been alone a long time and I'm used to it and to be married again and have someone to contend with, even in the presence of God, is just not for me now! God is my Father, my husband and my All in all and to serve Him better, I don't need to be married....just like Apostle Paul said in the Scriptures! For a husband needs to please his wife, and the wife needs to please her husband, but when we just have God....we can please Him without any interference or contention from anyone else! Amen! Ma Betty

By the way, everything is out in the sticks in KY! :lmfao:
