I dug this 1897 Indian Head penny the same day and location I dug the 1875 Seated Dime at. The penny was very cruddy and I spent time freezing it in water several times and also soaking it in boiling peroxide. Today I decided it had enough and was as clean as it was going to get without abrasive scrubbing.

Still soaking my 2 cent coin. Getting ready to clean that up also. Standby.
 
Nice job on that IH, they are always fun to find.
