I went to a school that used to be a old fair grounds dug lot of clad and out pops this Barber quarter 1899 and about 10"I have a relic shovel and buried it to the top and quarter was on the bottom when I flip it over.I was runing IM 16 sens 22 and it sounded like it was on top of the ground.I love this coil.

I also use an 8" coil x-8 sunray I run IM 22 sens 24 seems to run good most of the time I tried allot of coils and the x-8 I can get right next the the sidewalks without to much chatter great find congrats HH

You said it sounded like it was on the surface. Did your depth gauge give you an accurate read out? Also, did the pinpoint sound deep or shallow?

Thanks!

The depth gauge was very close that is the first thing that I look at,with the 8 I don't use pinpoint just x the target.I dint know how deep it will go that was the first gravy coin that I found with explorer 11 ,the coin sounded like it was on top of the ground no trash around it The depth is different from stock coil but showed deeper then rest of targets.
