8 inch coil for XLT

I don't like the 950 coil much as I hunt on some trashy farmlands. The 5.3 is a little too small so I wonder is this 8 inch precision blue max is a good coil for the xlt?

The royal 8 is my primary coil, do not discount what the 5.3 is capable of. Each smaller coil will find

things the bigger one missed.
 
Yes, I used the bullseye 5.3 a lot with my idx. It's my favorite whites coil. But some farmfields I hunt are just too big and I feel lost with the 5.3. I wonder if the coil that I mentioned above is a good one. Is it a thin profile by the way?
