Well its been a few weeks since my last post. I have not had that much time to hunt so today I went to a old ski area in the area. I started off on the slope and found a few coins two earrings an alligator & a large .925 ring. I thought the day was going OK but I could not find any silver coins. I moved to a camping area and the first signal I got was a nickle so I took out my hand probe & found it, then another & another. When I got the spot cleaned up I had 82 in all. SO the tally for the day was 92 nickles 10 pre 64, 54 Penney's, 27 dimes & 17 quarters.
 
Oh my, I feel like it's my birthday or something. :biggrin: Do you know how much I LOVE to see those NICKELS????!!!!!! I've NEVER heard or seen so many in one hunt. That's totally great Bula! So that's where all the Nickels have been hiding..:lol::lol:
 
Holy cow! That's a pile of coins from the same hole, that person must have felt lighter after they dumped those. They sure did have a chunk of change in their pocket that day unless they buried them which is doubtful.
 
Rob (rcasio44) has that record covered. He found 7 silver nickels in a short weekend hunt. Now that was one pretty sight also! :surprised: It's funny how many war nickels were found all around the U.S. back in April and now we've not heard nor seen of any found. HH to all, Nancy
 
I thought someone had opened a slot machine there, it was strange all of the nickles were less than 2" deep & around the base of a tree. I could not guess how they got there.
