I hit the Big Lake at sunup. wind is out of the east for the past few days so it was very flat. Gotta few nickles in knee deep water, then went and hit some totlots.
Gravel is easy kickin when the chips are frozen as they were this am. I was running 1disc, 55 sens, -3 thresh, Dp tones on the F70 with the 11"dd.
This little 10k was crunched up in the gravel by the swings and hit a soft 21 foil signal...not a loud foil signal like regular foil. The silver one was over by the tetherballs and off to the side.
! cant find my scale this am, but I think that ring weighs a gram and maybe a .2 The silver one is stamped "925 China" so I have some suspicions as to if its real or not.
Overall, not good on the coin count, should have been a lot more, but with very little snow at all this winter, I'll take it. I'm pretty sure the gold ring was there all last summer, maybe longer, and I've swept this place probably 20 times before, as does somebody else. so it was the trophy of the day, and learnt me a lesson!. Even with the sense that low, you can still get @5" depth in the gravel...our gravel is real chattery if you try to run hotter. Its a great weekend to be out and swinging coil...I'll go again tomorrow. Good Luck All!

Better half wants the grill started and still a light mist falling so I am done for the day. Did get a bracelet that rang mid and high tone on the Omega. The heart on the chain is junk, but the clasp is marked 925 Italy. It is pretty light. Like one of your jewelry pieces, this one will need the "acid test" for true verification. Glad you northern boys are able to get out. Even for us down here this has been mild winter. The ants are now out. I can attest to that. Got into them this afternoon. Fortunately, they weren't fire ants. Good day of hunting, mud. HH jim tn
