9" spider eclipse coil

quicksilver

New member
I was wondering if anyone has tried the spider coil on the v3i. I am curious to hear some opinions on depth, etc. Thanks and good luck.

According to Carl it is the same performance as the 950 coil. He said it is the same coil in a different housing. I liked the idea of the center mounted coil.

Lighter 1.01 lbs (spider) to 1.46.lbs (950), with coil covers. Really nice to swing and I like the tonal quality (hard to explain) better.

It's a Concentric coil so it will ID your Targets better and will Pinpoint dead on, great for park / TOT Lot / Sports field / salt Beach type Hunting.

Where Pinpointing & Target ID is important

Not good for Hot ground , Like for deep relic & Coin Hunting in Hot Ground your going to want The stock DD coil.

Love my 9" Eclipse spider coil.
At 0.9 ounces and great depth and coverage.
I do very nice lawns here in and around my area.
I don't even use my 6x8 sef anymore.
I work and clean lawn with my 5.3 Eclipse and then go back over and recheck
With my 9" spider.
Soo Light :detecting:
