Going water hunti.g tomorrow. Do i have to habe phones connected if i put little black cap over the phone hole?????????

If you disconnect the headphones, the speaker will work. You need to put that cap on the hole to prevent water from getting in.

Good luck with your hunt.

Yes, that should seal it up so it won't leak, but why are you not planning on using headphones??? Metal detecting without headphones is like having sex without a girl!! You still enjoy it, but you sure will be missing a lot!!!

On rocky creek today in middle of no where lots of snakes. I used std mode because everything is loud on that setting. Most other creeks i hunt water runs fast and i need phones. Todays place was still and snakey. Found quarter two pennies two 50 cal machine gun shells and one unidentified hunk of lead about a pound. Talked with harrett before the trip and ok to no phone thanks

I ordered caps for all the coils I had, and for the connectors on the control box...I even had a few extras...You can never have enough protection...lol
