A 2 ring beach trip!

Goldstrike

Well-known member
Just a couple of cheapo rings from the beach today but you know what?.... I firmly believe that the Law of Averages dictates that just as long as your finding any rings on a regular basis, some will eventually be silver and some will turn out to be gold!!! So I'm very happy to detect any rings and particularly thrilled when they turn out to be silver or gold!:clapping:Keep on swinging!!:detecting:

Great job GS,
You are the ring finder for sure! Gold is just a swing away. A friend of mine at the end of the year, takes all his junk rings to work puts them in a bowl and lets his co workers take them home to their kids. They love it!

I'd rather find junk jewelry and interesting doo-dads than clad any day. And yep, that law of averages seems to hold true.

Thanks guy's......like K.T. I really don't specifically go hunting for coins unless I know I'm going to a ghost town, hunting old homes and old parks where there is a very high chance of them being 90% silver (1964 and pre-'64). I don't usually post my pre-64 finds but those coins add up quickly!
Don't get me wrong, I love coins and have been collecting them from the 1960's when I doubled as a auto mechanic and worked the gas pumps when there were no cars to repairs! It was a thrill to be able to swap the collectible coins out with regular common coins (obviously with the owner's permission)....luckily he was not a coin collector!!!
When your finding junk jewelry and junk rings, the likelihood of finding the good stuff among the cheap targets goes way high. On the beach, I get excited when I hit the 'towel line' when I start detecting any coins. That's when the good jewelry and rings usually show up!!!
The weather is now in the 80's and 90's degrees so I am thrilled at seeing what the beaches yield up this summer!!! GL&HH everyone!!
