change a main spring and shocks in a 4 wheel drive F150 also put in a set of overload springs my friend had . Total parts $250.00 Labour here is over $45.00 per hr we worked about 4hr each total equals $380.00 we saved .Then for exercise we split about 2 cord of wood. Boy i,m glad i,m retired so I don,t have to work so hard lol .God has blessed me beyond measure with good health .May God bless all my brothers and sisters in Christ you are in my prayers daily..

and you are in my prayers, also Harold

but, since God saw fit to take most o' my health away and most definately bless me in other ways...those kind o' days are but a memory.

I had to take my Ford Escape to the shop last week because it was miss firing. 59K miles on it. Can't work on the dang thing myself. Have to have midget hands to get down to work on any part of the engine. They "said" it needed a new coil. It has a coil on each spark plug. They replaced the coil and one spark plug - charged me 330.00!!!

I wish I had an old 69 camaro. Where you open the hood and see an engine, exhaust pipes, an air cleaner. Could work on those no problem. These new cars don't even have a distributor cap.

Now - this morning - the thing started smoking under the hood. The surpintine belt. Suppossed to last 125K miles before replacement. Probably a bad bearing on the tensioner. Already replaced the front wheel bearing. Just waiting for the next little surprise. O - I have to tell you what the shop person told me when the coil went bad. For about 2 weeks prior to taking it to the shop, I filled the tank with high test and put some injector cleaner in the tank. It would clear out and start running good. I told the shop guy this - thinking the problem was with the fuel injectors. When he told me it was the coil - I asked what a coil could possiby have to do with the fuel - if it cleared up with high test gas and injector cleaner. Know what he said? He said it was probably because I had burned ethenol in it and the injector cleaner took the pressure off the coil for a short time.

These people don't know what the heck they are talking about. Cant trust any of them. No telling what they really did to the car. I suspect it still has the old coil and plug in it. When I asked them to give me the parts they took out - they told me they threw them away. Who the heck only changes one spark plug in a car? REALLY!!!!

Give me a break. Now - a new belt. I cant replace it myself. No room to work. Will probably cost me another 300.00 for a stinking fan belt. Can you believe this? All I want is a reliable car to go to work with and drive to my metal detecting field.

God will continue to bless you brother! :) I love cutting and splitting wood! :)
