I went with a friend to visit his mother further south. She happen to live on a old river.I found the oldest spoon i have even seen. The patina on the end is making the picture glow.I broke my detector pro pointer.I haven't found a civil war bullet in a while. This spoon is amazing! Used the Tejon with 12x10 DD,JVC gummy earbuds,Koss volume control,Sampson pro ball shovel,a broken pistol probe.I think i found a good spot. :tesoro:

S.R. that stuff looks seriously old. and it looks like you are the 1st to go over that spot . could be a bust coin in thear and definatly seated country , I see moss hanging you must be in the south

Those are some neat old finds! The location looks interesting also. I enjoy the wilderness as much as I do detecting.

Taz on the whatzit forum said the spoon is from the 1800's,and is called a fiddlerhead design.I love this spoon! I have not even cleaned it yet.I have not even got this excited over finding a old coin.To think a old spoon can have this effect on me! Here are some additional pics, but no digging on these sacred grounds.I am a real relic hunter now!
