A Clad pile and Ginseng

Went out today for a bit, till the heat chased me back to a cooler place. A little over "quota" with 151 coins at $16.67. Did a quick search of an older home site a few days back and picked up this 1950 rabies tag and a '59 Lincoln cent. Have to hit that place again for sure. Also, after wandering the north facing woods around my parents place, I happened upon some ginseng. Once it goes to seed, I'll scatter some around and maybe get a little patch growing.

And I've seen shows on tv, where they talk about that "sang", lol. Does it really bring a lot of money? I wouldn't know it if I tripped over it, actually.

I sleep good after 100+ coin digs for sure. Yeah dgruff, 'sang is fascinating plant. Cool history and some colorful characters "chase" green gold all over the place. And like huntingsonny said, the price is up there. The demand from Asia is amazing and to see the piles of cash involved is crazy. Needless to say buyers tend to pack heat

re: Ginseng Love those streams of extra income. I used to pick a lot of Chanterelles when I lived in Oregon, usually ate them up before I got around to selling them, though...

Went out "for a bit" and found 151 coins? If you are like most of the rest of us ( unlike that machine, "the mudpuppy") it takes a little more that "a bit" to dig 151 coins!!

Never tried Chanterelles, William, but I've seen where they command a hefty sum. And I wholeheartedly agree with the "toonie" idea, FedGov can put the paper "notes" away and mint those nice bi-metallic coins. If I recall correctly, Japan and the EU even have "$5" coins, why a fellow might chance upon a $100 clad day if those were in circulation.
