A Complete Saxon surprise

On the field where the Sestertius was found i.e. my last post. After a while this SAXON Square Head brooch was found. Circa 6th century A.D. 50 mm long usually the finds from this field are from the Roman period plus .303 bullets from WW2 !
 
You are making some mouth watering finds over there. Great job recovering a lot of centuries old history.:thumbup: HH jim tn
