A Couple of Coin Hunts

I went to this lot Thurs. I tried to use the Stk coil on the M6 but the trash was to close, so I used the 6x10.Still managed to get a small silver ring and 92 coins including two Sac dollars.Total of 92 coins .I had to cherry pick the good signalsand only dug 1 nickle.[attachment 69457 9-27-ring.JPG][attachment 69458 9-27all.jpg] When I got home that afternoon I had the 5.3 waiting for me ,the UPS man just dropped it off. Today I took the 5.3 back to the same spot and running the same setup I usually run, 0 disc , tones on and sens as high as allowed. Also set the GB and locked it due to all the trash. Forth target was a Silver '64 washington. Target seperation was outstanding, literally hitting as many as 20 or more targets in a swing, in some of the denser areas.Just took my time and cherry picked the good coin signals.Didn't dig any nickles, tried a few nick. signals but were all trash. Both hunt totals were 166 coins for $ 27.11[attachment 69460 9-29..Lot.JPG][attachment 69459 9-29.jpg]

Man you had a very good day..You like that 5.3 coil..Is it better than the 6x10 or just different ?

The 5.3 gets better separation in dense trash [ mostly aluminun tabs and can shards] I prefer the 6x10 , its deeper and has better coverage in moderate trash. I prefer the stock above all coils but you have to compromise when the site calls for it. I've only used the 5.3 one time and that was today. , didn't see any miraculous depth but for separation its very very good, and it is reported to go deeper than the 3x6 DD according to the other users. I may have gotten 5 " on pennies today which is good for a small coil, and in cleaner areas it'll probably squeeze out a little more depth...On those hunts above I wasn't in dense trash all the time but move out into moderate trashy areas as I moved along....I love the M6 , It still is an amazing 2 knobber that can hold its own...HH
