a couple of firsts

I got permission late last fall to hunt the oldest house in my small town. It was built in 1875. I've only managed to spend about 8 hours there so far, and I've dug tons of nails and a little other junk. I've only found three coins so far, but two were firsts for me. They are a 1958 Wheatie, an 1890 IH (first), and a 1935D Washington quarter (first). There used to be some other buildings, so I'm dealing with a ton of ferrous trash. I'm considering searching two tone ferrous my next time there. Thanks for looking and HH.

That was fantastic for you first hunt. 3 firsts is hard to beat. Thanks for the story and the pictures.

Very nice first hunt, an indian and a silver, that is good anytime. -- Randy

IH's rule. I think I would rather have an IH than a rosie or a silver wash.

Me too. Especially my first one being an 1890. That was the second coin I dug, and I thought it was just a wheatie. I almost dropped it when I rinsed it and saw the Chief looking up at me.
