Thanks C. Nyal for informing us more about Australia...I've never been there and don't expect I ever will be but would be nice to just visit and see what your country is like, but of course it would be where I was visiting at the time! And I certainly would leave the snakes and crawly creatures alone and I sure hope they would leave me alone! As far as high crime in the USA, it depends on where you live....most of the cities are dangerous in certain areas, so I try to stay out of those, but some people are too poor to move out into the suburbs where there is less crime, although we have our crimes here, also, because of drugs and Meth labs! They are even in the small towns now, which used to be unheard of, except for the whiskey stills way back in the hills and boondocks! Illegal drugs sure have penetrated everywhere, especially where ever the illegal immigrants have come in and the Mafia, too, sooooo yes we have crime, but like the snakes and other critters, I try to stay away from them and out of their territories! :sad: May God Bless! Aint that the truth, Pete, I remember very well when I was working or we were on vacation....always seemed to travel where roadwork was being done no matter where we went or even driving the streets around my own home!!! Ma Betty

out of the storage facilities they store them in in the winter. They really don't do ALL that construction. It is just a way of only having to rent the storage buildings for the winter....they don't rent any when the spring, summer and fall are here...they save having to pay for 3 seasons worth of rent. The savings are then spent on the freaking round abouts they are building everywhere. Round abouts had a major purpose in England - just and annoyance in the USA

Well that sounds like the way our gov't and a lot of businesses work today! Hope they do repair the roads your way, for we do get our roads and highways repaired but as soon as one section is finished they come back and start all over again; therefore, the roads are always being worked on with traffic jams on the Interstates which causes accidents! Too many workers got killed by being run over, so now there are signs to slow down in work zones or get a ticket and if killing a worker, go to jail and be fined $10,000.00 which has slowed many drivers to obey...because going to jail and paying that much is reaching down deep into their pockets! Some drivers learn but some do not! :sad: Ma Betty
