#1-About 3/4 of a mile from where I sit here writing this,there is a certain farm that has this background:Back in 1963,my daddy bought the land where I am right now sitting,from an old farmer.NOW,this old farmer had gone thru the Depression,and lost everything-AS A RESULT,he hated the gov't,banks,etc.........STORY GOES that he had hidden all around said farm caches of money.As the story goes,he suffered a massive stroke,and died without saying a thing to anybody-SUPPOSEDLY,the caches are still there-AND A few years ago,I talked to a security guard at work that knew this man,and he said"That's not a fable,Steve-that's a FACT".........AND-the man's son and son in law still live near this old home,which has been sold to nobody I know.I JUST MAY try to talk my way into
this virgin ground;with the understanding that if I find anything to corroborate this legend,I just want the CREDIT for finding it........................SPEAKING OF VIRGIN GROUND!!!............#2-About 1-1/4 miles down the OTHER WAY from there I'm living now,there stands a Centennial Farm-AND,skirting the edge of the road that goes by it-is an open field; probably 10 acres,with a BIG backstop just off the road,in which has been said there have been baseball games,picnics,gatherings,etc,etc.......for OVER 100 years!!!-AND it has NOT been used for ANY of the above for the last 25-30 years,that I know of................(PETE-Sound familiar???)!!!.............It just sits there,open and all alone........I MUST go ask for permission to hunt there;before someone buys that land;and puts up a house,and I'm out in the cold.............
