I decide to go to hunt the areas where I had found a Silver coin---I like to hunt for coins in the older areas of Portland---Welllllll I go there and I am hunting between the Sidewalk and the Street which is owned by the city---I had been out 3-4 hrs and was about ready to call it a day when this guys comes out of his house and begins to tell me he owned the property and he did not want me to hunt there---The way he says it is very obnoxious so I stated it was owned by the city which did not set well with him---While this is going on his little boy steps over and steps on the coil to which I said don't do that as the machine costs $1700---His Father says nothing to him about he should not do that---Well I just went on hunting and he goes back in his house; The next thing I see is Water as he had turned the grass sprinklers on, As he had put buried sprinklers in that area---So I did get a little wet; Not Much---So I had to quit but I was going to do that anyway---I walk back to my Truck and another guy walked out to talk to me saying I was watching how you were digging holes (area between Street And Sidewalk) So I am thinking another guy is going to jump on me NOT---He goes on to state how well I filled my holes and made no meses or Very Little sign I had been there---So I Explain what his Neighbor had did which did make him angry---He then surprises me by giving me Permission to hunt a Old Area which had been a Funeral home back around 1900---So I have got a good place to hunt by just getting a little damp---I am going to hit it this week and see what the V-3 will find---You Never Know What Life Will Bring From Day To Day---Could have been Worse he could have came out with a gun---If you have been keeping up with the News from Portland you would have read on how much that place has become a place where aurgements are settled with Gunfire---The other day it took the Police a whole day to just pick up the casings (From one area) after a gunbattle which had blown out car-truck windows---ripped through apartment windows and walls-Just missed people BUT No One was hit---I don't go anywheres around that area without my 45 or my 40 S and W.------------D.W.
