A decent morning hunt! :fisher:

Haven't been posting much of late and not finding much, as well. A few days before Thanksgiving I did snag a 1909 Barber dime using the 5 x 10 DD coil on one hunt with my buddy and the next day swinging my way back to my SUV I got a 1926d Merc. and had the 11" DD on that particular outing.

Did get four hours of hunting in the day before Thanksgiving while up in Nashville for the holiday with our youngest son and amassed $9.60 in clad and Memorials mostly from around a basketball court. Un-fortunately, no Jewelry.

With the holiday and four days of steady drizzle this morning was the first good dry opportunity to get out. Ultimately, I headed to the old park and the area that I dug the 26 Merc out of last week. This particular area has several picnic tables around and consequently is a bed of trash. Hence, I put the 5" laser coil on and went to work.

Not a lot of coins over all, but did manage a nice green 1903 I H cent from a good 6" deep. It was flitting around the mid to upper 60's for a reading. Also got what might be a 1930 Buffalo nickel. I've dug more Buffalo nickels then silver of late. 5 wheat cents came to light, 3 in the 40's, 1 58 and 1 that needs some soaking to try and get a date. The 52d Rosie was my first silver for the hunt and came about mid way through the outing. Near the end of my hunt I dug the 2 Mercury dimes, 1 a 1939d and the other a 1940, both from the same clod of mud.

Except for the I H cent, all the other coins were no deeper then 4". The fresh from the ground shot is of the 09 Barber dime. Used sen of 90, de mode, 0 disc. no notch and 3h tones. HH jim tn

Wow! Another great hunt. That's way above " decent " in my book. Two silver dimes in the same clogg of dirt, that's some real fun right there. The weather here in WV is holding good for us so hopefully me and my brothers can get out and find some cool stuff.
