A few digs from yesterday...

I hunted a park that I've hammered and it's not that big. Believe it or not that dime was only about 1/2" deep. I heard it and said to myself "I'll get this clad coin out of the way, maybe something is under it". Heck, I've probably passed over it several times and just didn't dig it because it was so shallow. Just goes to show you that they're not all 7 or 8 inches in the ground!!!

Nice finds, Neal!

I've found one skeleton key. With a number on it, presumably from a hotel.

What's the doohicky with the number on it?

Where there is 1 Old Coin near the surface, there's bound to be others. Hope to see more Goodies come from that Pounded Park. Good Luck and HH.

large cent last year. I passed over it 2 or 3 times that day because it was a shallow "clad" dime hit. Glad I got bored from lack of signals that day and went back to dig it up  I must admit though...unless I'm bored...I just don't dig the shallow hits. Your post has REMINDED me of my own experience with the 4" deep large cent last year. Gotta' start diggin' them all...shallow or deep.
