A Few Finds From A Missouri Ghost Town

Hi, All:

The fields where I've been hunting for a few years where a Missouri town burned in the Civil War has been mowed. Town had soldiers camped in and around it. Been hitting it early before the humidity and heat takes it toll. Been picking at an area I've had success before and came up with a few more keepers. A brass thimble, two lead printer's type, a couple of fired pistol bullets, a dropped Sharps and a brass finial. It's been years since I've recovered a finial. Also a flat piece of lead someone curled up one end for who knows what purpose. Just shows, you never get it all, so re-hunting from a different angle with a different machine can pull some finds.

Thanks for lookin,

Cool finds buddy.

Very nice finds. Congrats.

Great finds, Jimmyk! Say, I think I recognize your ghost town. I hunted there before about five years ago, and I recall that you will find Gallagher bullets if you go to the woods west of the hay field (west side of the road). There were cattle there when I went. Good hunting.

Ringtail sharps...... My favorite.. Nice finds. CCH
