A few finds from last weekend

Hunted a friends 1850s farm last week. It was Very difficult to hunt. Targets everywhere. I wish I had at least one coin for every 5 pull tabs, Id have a lot of coins if I did.

The 2 cent piece is in pretty nce shape. I used my 5 inch Sunray coil.

Nice 2-cent piece you have found. I found one 2 years ago and it was the same year. I see it is the more common variety Large Motto like the one that I found also. They sure are fun to find since I have yet to find another one. HH and good luck with the farm field. By the way, nice Indian too. Do you know if it is the 8 over 7 variety?

Wow thats a nice haul. Keep hitting that area and targets will keep coming. Every time I have found a harmonica reed I have found a lot of buttons in the same area. Keep digging those pull tabs and the good stuff will be there too. You must have some good soil. My only 2 cent the edge was corroded and indians come out of the ground half corroded away. Those are some nice coins. I have one question how to you clean your coins, those sure look good. Congrats lets see some more!:clap:

First off don't anybody get me wrong my wife love jewelry but I love these kind of finds. That is one neat 2 cent and beauty of an Indian, I love the buckles and really enjoy looking at old padlocks. Nice finds Bob and congratulations on a successful hunt.

There should be a small part of the 7 just below the last 8, making it look like there is a small dot below it. The best way would be to take a 10x-16x loop and look at it closer. If you can't tell, maybe you can take it to your local coin dealer and see if they can distinguish if it is the 8 over 7 or if it is just the common 1888 Indian. Wish I could have helped out more.
