A few finds from this weekend. Only 1 Silver.

Due to attending the 8th Annual MARG (Minnkota Artifact Recovery Group) Spring Treasure Hunt, I only had a limited time to do some actual hunting mainly at the Park we hold this great event. I found a few Original Keepers from this Park that were never Pre-Buried Coins from any other Hunt we had. I will be posting my Hunt Finds tomorrow night so keep an eye out for that post. Now for what I found that were Actual Long Lost Items from this very well worked Park. I only was able to find 1 Silver here but there were 2 Barber Dimes (1 with a 1880's V-Nickel in the same hole) and I believe a Merc and a Roosevelt Dime found also during this weekend. What I found shocked me and a lot of the others attending the Hunt. I found at only about 7" with my 5 X 10 Joey Coil an 1876 Seated Dime. I got a signal bouncing around a bit that was reading around 26 on Digital and thought an Older Wheat Penny or possibly an Indian Head Penny and was pleasantly surprised when I seen a Silver Dime in the hole. I also had a bit of luck after making this great find but I will post that tomorrow night on exactly what that was. I also found only a few Wheat Pennies dated 1926-d,1939-d,1941-d,1944, and 1947-s along with a 1959-d Lincoln Memorial Penny. I also found for Misc. Items a Gold Filled Wedding Band with only a marking with a circle with an X inside a square box, a huge fishing weight, and an old Midget Toys Gas Pumps which were only about an Inch in the ground. Those are my finds for the weekend this time around so thanks again for reading and looking at my post and Good Luck and HH to all you Treasure Hunters out there. [attachment 57640 SeatedDime.jpg][attachment 57641 Pennies.jpg][attachment 57647 Misc..jpg]

They clean up very well using this method plus these finds came from a more sandy soil which preserved them better than regular black dirt. Thanks for asking. Good Luck and HH.

I'm not really sure but I don't think much Seated Coinage has been taken from this Park. I do know a few years back one of the fellow Detectorist's found a Seated Half Dime the lucky dog. The thing is that makes this find so special is that this Park has been pounded for 20-30 years and to find something like this by a Pine Tree about 1 Foot away from the base is unbelievable. I do know that I am sure glad I was the Lucky Guy to find this beauty and add it to my collection. Thanks again Tony for the response and Good Luck and HH.:detecting:
