Well I got out again today in the cold wind and rain after work. It was worth it though.
Here's what I found.
-Large Cent (date unknown)
-1928 dime
-1917 fishscale
-unknown chinese? coin
-1929, 1931, 1932 pennies
-a fired miniball
-an old homemade fishing sinker?
I'm guessing the sinker is old as it's very white, and very crude. Any ideas? Is this in fact a sinker??
Also looking for some infor on the chinese coin if anyone can help me out with an ID or date I'd appreciate it!
Thanks
Wess

Could have been for cleaning breech loading carbines. David @ Dixie <center><a href="http://www.dixie-metal-detectors.com"><img src="/metal/html/d-m.jpg"></center>

myself as it does really resemble a fired mini. A couple others suggested that. It has a wire loop out the top, and the same wire runs right through as you can see it slightly protruding from the bottom. It also looks to have a complete ring around the bottom. The place I found it has turned up 3 musketballs, a fired mini, and my snake buckle I found...so you could be onto something. Thanks

The name of the reigning Emperor helps date the coin.
