a few more finds from a short hunt at the cornfield

my wife is taking an interst in detecting, and last night she wanted to find something old, and I did not have any houses lined up to hunt, we only had an hour and a half of light so I took her to the cornfield I have been hunting this last week.

She wanted an old coin real bad and I wanted her to find one, probably more than she wanted it. Anyhow, first find was a 1919 wheatie by me, this is the 4th 1919 I have found this year....lol

She then found the larger marble in the pic, then she got he spoon, it is marked Reed Barton. Next she got the old ladies costume ring, man is that thing gawdy or what, wow!!! But a cool find none the less. it is marked Nemco, She was happy, and I was happy for her. Last find I had was the small marble. So it was a fun short hunt. Only wish she had found an old coin. Maybe next trip!

Congrats to you both for getting out and for your finds! I think if you would clean that ring really well that the stone or whatever it is would be pretty!
It could be a silver or pewter ring! Maybe Lorraine could look up the name and find out who, where and when about the costume ring.....some of those are worth some money! The older costume rings are popular with collectors! :) So go to it, Lorraine, I've selected you to get the job done!

God Bless!
