A few more hours on the f-75 ltd 2:fisher:

Well, here are my thoughts of it so far.-GOOD and BAD
I like the f75 in general. I have found a few clad coins in hunted out places with the 5"coil on it. I even found two wheaties in my own yard!:surprised:
I have absolutely pounded this yard with everything I've owned. I may have just passed over them quickly with my digger coil on the 705, but all the same, the trophy goes to the f75 for finding them.:clapping:
I like the depth and speed of the f-75.
I have never owned the regular f75, but EMI is still problematic even with DST, lowered sens.,and freq shift. For me, the f-75 is going to be site specific. I was glad I brought my 705 along today to search for a lost ring, or I would have had a hard time trying to listen for a positive response in all the chatter. 705 didn't hardly peep even at full sens. I have yet to see a major diff. between 9.0 and 9.1
Coverage with the 11" coil is nice along with good balance.
I don't like the auto GB feature in comparison to the 705 or MXT.
FA mode is a really cool feature, but I don't really see it being practical for the hunting I do. It also makes the f75 sound a bit more unstable. The responses at a local ball field were so fast, that I had to slow down my swing speed to make sure I heard the signal. FA mode really shortens the length of the tone you hear. I prefer the regular DE mode over the FA. The f75 is fast enough the way it is!
The f75 is a nickle killer! Solid 30-31 ever time.
VDI is very accurate.
Tones are good. I like to use 4 or 4H. I think that the high tone for nickles is a cool idea. Also nice to be able to choose not to have them high tone.
I like my presets on the 705 way better than the disc and notch system on the f75.
The f75 has found me numerous 22 shell casings at 6-7 inches ringing in clear. Makes me wonder what the need is for the 13" ultimate's and such.(Not that I wouldn't like to try one.)
F75 is able to find targets at good depth even at very low sens.
Process's are quick and easy to navigate.

I am trying to be as honest and non bias as I can.
Hopefully others will chime in on their personal experiences.
Keep in mind that I only have around 15 hrs experience on it so far.

Be sure to try freq. shift before reducing sansitivity.

I would be very surprisrd if you have EMI problems woth the small coil. At my place, it's EMI jell and if I am near the underground electrical supply, the 11" can be aproblem. However the 6" DD AND THE SMALL ELLIPTICAL CONCENTRIC ARE SWEET AT 99.

didn't think the F75 had auto GB?

interesting, as Mike H. says its worth the price of entry by itself...

would you say that this is true even at depth?

sounds like paying the extra $$ for LTD (to get the Boost Process) would be a waste? have you tried Boost? useful?

This review was interesting and parallels much of my experience using a F75 SE since May. Ver 7.1.
differences
I never had EMI issues that frequency shift would not fix. A total of 3 times I had to adjust for EMI yet I am in a big city.
I find using DE mode with certain settings would provide so light a tone on good targets I could easily pass up a good target in trash filled lots.. I liked the Bp mode best. In Bp mode one may slow down a bit and find small metal objects if trashy.
when ever I got lost in settings returning to default mode was a good thing and it restored my faith in the machine.
I use the 5" coil exclusively. Pinpoints better.
Auto grab ground balance adjusts the ground balance when you push the trigger forward and pump the coil over clean dirt.

Even for myself, when mine returns from the upgrade I intend on making a nail board with coins placed amongst the nails so I can test the unit at home to really understand all the individual processes and what to expect in the field. For a board I am going to use a slab of Styrofoam so I can move the nails, bottle caps and pull tabs around with ease. I've been saving junk from the field.

good review.
looking forward to your findings with the new upgrade....I appreciate that you are doing this...

Your report is your report. Thank you for sharing.

Horikindaguy, I have used the BP mode in open areas and I like it a lot. I am glad to have it as an option!
Auto GB is trigger forward while pumping coil over clean ground.
I am sure nickle VDI's will change with depth, but in tot lots and hunting newer clad it is right on!
I have tried the 5" coil for about 5 hrs of the 15 and have found it to be very beneficial in trashy areas around nails and iron. Can slaw areas can still be a challenge, but the 5" is still the best bet over the 11" in the heavy trash. What I am trying to say is, I have had better results in iron areas with it so far.

I love swinging the f-75 where there is no EMI. It is so quite that I had to check a few times to see if it was on, even at 99 sens with the 11" coil on. In these areas, I feel certain nothing deep will elude it. This is also where I run BP mode at times.

Thanks for all the replies!
