A few relics from the last week of 2013

Over the Christmas holidays I found a Calvary picket about a mile and shall from the house. I hunted it a couple of days and my brother came in for the weekend and we hunted it a couple of more days. We found a few bullets, three eagle buttons, almost a complete spur and other odds and ends.

The two buttons posted are they period as well. Neither has a back mark.

Looks like you found some galliger carbines. Nice finds. HH

Yes I find several gallighers sharps .54 and a few smith carbines. The regular stuff too 58s a few 69s and some odd bullets for this area from time to time
