A few small hunts nets coin # 15,000

I've been working a lot but did get in a few small hunts (4). Nothing great. A few tokens and a small cross.

Total for 66 coins is $4.40. One of those coins was number 15,000 for my all time count.

Great milestone. Too bad you can't identify the exact coin. You must be very close to a new detector by now. I really like the new package Garrett has put together for the 2500. A Pro-Pointer and Sniper Coil and an Environmental Coverup all which I bought myself. Better than the 12.5 inch imaging coil that I got last Fall.

That wasn't a milestone I was tracking. I just happened to look at the total and saw I went over 15K. I was excited when I hit 1000 and 10,000. I have those 2 slabbed. My next milestones are in multiples of 10's. 20,000, 30 and so on. I do have a pretty good chunk of change saved for my next MD. I don't think it will be a garrett though.

I'm a bit surprised by your last statement. What else are you considering? Maybe by the time you are serious about getting something new, Garrett will have a new model to whet your appetitie.

Chris

PS FWIW, In the past, I considered getting a top end Minelab rig as my next detector but I am exceedingly pleased with my GTI 2500. My new Pro-Pointer has satisfied my need for a new toy. At least until 2009.

I am thinking about a (gasp) Fisher F-70.
