A few thoughts on life, and death...

I was thinking today I am glad that our dogs'pain and suffering are over-AND-Dont get me wrong on this next statement-There is a freedom now,for us to go on living for US,now....Now;I would not hsve wished this on our dog,oa anybody else or anything else-I loved that dog as much as my wife did-But;it is a peaceful feeling he is in the LORD's hands now;and waiting for us to be with him when it is out turn.We will probably get another one next Spring...I told my wife it is time now for us to learn to live without a pet for a while;and she agreed.

after a while a new pup would be good.

I have 14 parrots, a cat, 3 dogs....that is 'tied down' when one can't find a local person who knows anything about caring for pets or birds in particular.

When emergencies like Nana's funeral comes along one grasps at straws looking for someone to fill in. We did think we had someone to fill in for us so we could go to the U.P. for our anniversary. I am hoping he is sitting in a jail cell since he won't be here...and even if he was I'd neve trust him to do anything (and would be calling the police myself anyway on him). That's why we won't be going to the U.P. for our anniversary.

Pets are a responsibility and a burden we chose to take on. Do not feel badly for feeling you now have some freedom you did not have before.

Your pet is a gift of God which is temporary and is for your pleasure while with us. You did all you could and should for your pet and he in turn provided years of pleasure. He is at rest and enjoy the gift of freedom you now have to spend more time with each other - to bring one another closer to each other and to God.
